Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken or pork cut into pieces
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ½ cup vinegar
  • 1 head garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon black peppercorns
  • 3 pcs bay leaves
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoon cooking oil

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large pot, heat the cooking oil over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add the minced garlic and sauté until golden brown.
  3. 3. Add the chicken or pork pieces and cook until browned on all sides.
  4. 4. Pour in the soy sauce, vinegar, and water. Add the black peppercorns and bay leaves.
  5. 5. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat and let it simmer for about 30-40 minutes, or until the meat is tender.
  6. 6. Serve hot with steamed rice.
