Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Pork bones
  • 1 large Onion quartered
  • 2 cloves Garlic smashed
  • 2 stalks Celery chopped
  • 2 large Carrots chopped
  • 10 cups Water
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black peppercorns

Instructions 

  1. 1. Place pork bones in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and then drain and rinse the bones.
  2. 2. Return the bones to the pot and add the onion, garlic, celery, carrots, and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
  3. 3. Skim off any foam that rises to the surface. Add salt and peppercorns.
  4. 4. Simmer for 4 hours, occasionally skimming the surface.
  5. 5. Strain the stock through a fine-mesh strainer and discard the solids. Let the stock cool before refrigerating or freezing.
