- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- ½ cup Milk
- 1 Egg
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- ¼ cup Sugar (for coating)
- ½ cup Oil (for frying)
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and baking powder.
In another bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and vanilla extract.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Remove dumplings from oil and drain on paper towels.
Roll the warm dumplings in sugar to coat.
