Ingredients 

Filling

  • 200 g Chicken breast, diced
  • 1 cup Potatoes, diced
  • 1 cup Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoon Curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Oil

Pastry

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • ½ cup Butter, chilled and diced
  • ¼ cup Cold water
  • 1 pinch Salt

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add onions and cook until translucent.
  2. 2. Add chicken and potatoes. Cook until chicken is no longer pink.
  3. 3. Stir in curry powder, salt, and sugar. Cook for another 5 minutes. Set aside to cool.
  4. 4. For the pastry, mix flour and salt in a bowl. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. 5. Gradually add cold water, mixing until dough forms. Roll out dough on a floured surface and cut into circles.
  6. 6. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each circle. Fold over and seal edges with a fork.
  7. 7. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Place curry puffs on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
