Thai Pho Recipe

Broth
- 8 cups beef broth
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 3 pieces star anise
- 1 piece ginger, sliced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
Pho
- 200 grams rice noodles
- 300 grams beef, thinly sliced
- 1 cup bean sprouts
- 1 cup fresh herbs (cilantro, basil, mint)
- 1 piece lime, cut into wedges
- 2 tablespoons fish sauce
1. In a large pot, combine beef broth, cinnamon stick, star anise, ginger, and garlic. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
2. Cook rice noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
3. Strain the broth to remove spices and return to pot. Add fish sauce and adjust seasoning if needed.
4. Divide cooked noodles into bowls. Top with thinly sliced beef, bean sprouts, and fresh herbs.
5. Pour hot broth over the top to cook the beef. Serve with lime wedges.
