Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 200 g Ground pork
  • 100 g Shrimp, peeled and deveined chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 1 clove Garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger grated
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 20 pieces Wonton wrappers

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, chopped shrimp, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and cornstarch. Mix well.
  2. 2. Place a wonton wrapper in your hand and add a spoonful of the mixture in the center. Fold the edges up around the filling and press gently to seal.
  3. 3. Place shumai in a steamer basket lined with parchment paper or cabbage leaves to prevent sticking.
  4. 4. Steam shumai over boiling water for about 10 minutes or until fully cooked.
  5. 5. Serve hot with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
