Ingredients

  • ½ cup Rice vinegar
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • ¼ cup Ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoon water
  • 1 clove Garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Red chili flakes optional

Instructions 

  1. In a saucepan, combine rice vinegar, sugar, ketchup, soy sauce, and garlic. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add the cornstarch mixture and stir until the sauce thickens.
  4. If using, add red chili flakes and stir well. Remove from heat and let cool.
