Ingredients

  • ½ cup Rice Vinegar
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • ¼ cup Water
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoon water
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes

Instructions 

  1. In a saucepan, combine rice vinegar, sugar, water, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Reduce heat and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Mix cornstarch with 2 tablespoon water to create a slurry. Add to the saucepan and whisk until the sauce thickens.
  4. Add red pepper flakes and simmer for another 2 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool.
