Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken about 4 lbs
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger grated
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, lime juice, garlic, ginger, vegetable oil, and black pepper.
  3. Rub the mixture all over the chicken, making sure to get under the skin and inside the cavity.
  4. Place the chicken in a roasting pan and roast in the preheated oven for about 90 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before carving. Serve with your favorite sides.
